BYRON, MN located ten miles west of Rochester on US 14 The formation area will be the Elementary School and proceed directly to the Middle School for dispersal, a distance of 1.1 miles, and a straight route and with only one exception, is a wide street with no barriers. There is one “bump” on the route which will be identified to units. This is a residential street and has been used for their civic parades in the past. It will proceed north a block to 3rd Street SW, turn west to 7th Ave SW, north to 2nd Street SW, then east to 2nd Ave SW, back south to 3rd Street SW, and west to 6th Ave SW, turning back south into the original starting area. This route is all residential and is 1.1 miles long. The population of the city is approximately 5,500. SATURDAY: All Shrine Centers participate ROCHESTER The parade will be less than a mile long and start south of Mayo High School in the southeast section of the city. It will march directly west on 16th Street SE, a residential street, to the Fairgrounds where it will disperse at the Oasis site where the Osman Nobles will be pleased to make sure you have adequate refreshments to prepare to head home. Following all parades we will have an appropriate Oasis at the Olmsted County Fairgrounds near the building that will house parade equipment.
